Peace, Love, Homecoming. This will be the theme around the halls of Lakeview next week as the celebration of Homecoming takes place.
"This year we came up with great new ideas for spirit week," said sophomore dance captain Madi Mahoney. Tuesday is Partner-in-Crime Day, Wednesday is Nerd Day, Thursday will be Hippie Day, and Friday the traditional Blue Out Day. Mahoney adds, "On Monday, Cameron (Drozd) and I are going to dress like Barbie and Ken."Peace, Love, Homecoming. The crowning of royalty will take place after the football game vs Fort Calhoun on Friday. The senior class selected the candidates: Lane Egger, Jordee Korte, Erika Loseke, Jordan Loseke, Ryanne Lueders, Dakota Prorok, Bailey Sloup, Cole Tessendorf, Addie Wilke, and Conner Wurdeman. The crownbearers for this year will be Calli Helms, daughter of Mitch and Jody Helms, and Madden Schaben, son of Jenna and Aaron Schaben and grandson of Ryan and Jan Went.
"We are excited for the fun week of events. The gym is going to be decorated in colorful tie dye," said sophomore dancer AshLynn Lesiak. The Homecoming dance will be held in the gym on Saturday night. The doors for the dance open at 8:00 p.m., and admission is $5 per person or $8 per couples.
