The Lakeview softball team took on the Blue Devils from Wayne last night. Even though they attempted a comeback in the bottom of the fourth, Wayne stayed on top winning 14-4 for the second home game.
“Having two strike was nerve-racking, with bases loaded and two outs, I knew we were due to get some runs,” said junior first baseman Kaitlyn Kleinheksel. With a few on base, Kleinheksel hit a double bringing in two runs in the bottom of the fourth.
“Were hitting it hard the next three days," mentioned head coach Erica Zywiec said in preparation for their home tournament at Bradshaw on Saturday. “Were going to see some good teams this weekend, we're gonna have to bring our A-game,” added coach Zywiec. The girls take on the in Omaha Duchesne in their first game this weekend.
